THE STOCK: IOC - Interoil Corp

ASSIGNMENT DATE: June 15, 2007

COMMENTS: With IOC trading in the mid $30 range, the Jun $25 call option will be exercised on Friday.  This was one of those rare short-term positions that provided reasonable downside protection (17.8%) even though the position only lasted 80 days. One problem with shorter term positions is the euphoric feeling derived by focusing on the gain when annualized.  The caution of the writer is to always remember, the shorter the duration, the less reliable the annualized gain.
